Building Joy: Radical Rest & Collective Wellness
Bri Reddick
MCC Lounge
The MCC is excited to welcome you into our space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and rethink what it means to rest at our Building Joy event.
For many students balancing academics, work, caregiving, activism, and other responsibilities, rest can feel like something we have to earn.
This gathering creates space to challenge that idea and explore rest as a form of care, resistance, and collective wellness.
Bri Reddick, a certified trauma-informed yoga instructor and Feminist Studies PhD candidate at UCSB will guide participants through trauma-informed, accessible movement, meditation, reflection, and conversation while exploring topics of burnout and the ways we can create healthier relationships with rest, not only for ourselves, but for the communities we are part of.
Grad Hearth Series: Community Care Dinner
MCC Lounge
The Community Care Dinner offers graduate students a space to slow down, share a meal, and reconnect with one another. Centered on conversation and collective support, this gathering invites grads to pause and nourish themselves with free dinner and light social engagement. Come grab some food, bring your friends, and meet some new folks in this calm and cozy space! We welcome everyone, especially those with marginalized identities to join us for a night of community!
